Fun at Nanny's Part 1

Rowan is back in town! The kids decorated some sugar cookies with Gigi. Art ate more than he decorated though.

After the food tasting, we found a piece of fabric so I tied it around his head like Karate Kid.

His First Date!

We were invited to dinner at a friend's house and they got their own kiddie table complete with flower arrangement!

Leila welcomed him by holding his hand.  She calls him Arfur.

They looked adorable, but didn't stay there for too long.  Leila even ate some food off of his plate. 

They wanted to see themselves on the camera. Art wanted to play in their dog's water bowl and spilled it all over himself so we had to borrow some clothes.  Luckily it was a sweet Redskins sweatsuit.

The Deck Is Done, Dudes

After many days of hard work, we got the deck completed.  Here are some pictures of the mess. 

Art learned to use the tape measure

 and hammer.

Papa John and Papa Jim were amazing with their hard work completing this. 

Here's me doing a little digging to install the drain pipes. I didn't know I was being followed by the paparazzi.

I don't miss digging and grading.  

I think he was just as muddy as when we did the warrior dash! 

Brian is quite handy!

It's done, but we still have a few more things to clean up.

Nature Center

We went to a local nature center with some friends after story time one day. 

All he wanted to do was push the button to see the lights.

We sat down for a minute to color a picture

and then took a stroll.

He learned that owls say, "who" and even said it a few times himself.

Dancing with Myself

We were out to lunch with a friend and he was on the floor playing.  I told him to dance and he finally listened.    He's not much of a dancer so I was surprised by his moves.  I don't think we have the next dance star on our hands. 

My Buddy

Happy 12th birthday, Morgan! 

Yep, we've only had her for 8 years, but she's come a long way from her little adopted crazy puppy self.  Here are a few photo journalistic shots of the baby and the dog to celebrate her big day.  Hopefully we can get her a doggy ice cream tonight at Bruster's.  

Yogurt Mess

I wonder why I feed him these things sometimes. 

 I tried to get a good picture of the dog, but below is a better close up of her messy head. 

We don't have a dog, we have an anteater. Look at that tongue! Looks like she is trying to catch yogurt on it. If you look closely, you can see that she was a casualty in the yogurt mess. 

Monday in the Park

Last week we met some friends at the park.

The highlight of the trip was throwing rocks in the stream.

This picture cracks me up.

He's asking for another rock or stick.

 He was super excited about the front loader doing work nearby.

I tried to get a wide angle shot so you could see the excitement in the background.  So, the other kids were playing and he was enthralled by the heavy equipment.
